I'm new here...
Hi dear readers of this blog,
You have not read anything of me yet. I am actually new here. I just finished my second week of working for NiXPS, and we were busy getting that beta-2 ready to ship. You should hear about that from Nick himself soon enough, but to end this working week I thought I'd say hi here.
Nick and I go way back, since my first job, when we were both working at Artwork Systems when it was still a somewhat small company. We went seperate ways when I left AWS, but we remained in touch and went on adventures together. He became more of a friend than a colleague really, even though we kept working together on various occasions.
When he asked me to join NiXPS I was quite honoured. I did not say "yes" immediately because I had a long going contract at Agfa that I was quite happy with. Somehow Nick managed to convince me to plunge in and I am happy about taking this decision. Giving up the certitude and comfort of a long going contract gives a bit of a kick really, but I think the time was right to shake things up for me for all sorts of reasons and this was the perfect opportunity to do so!
Now, Nick and I intend to take a shot at implementing the best XPS-library out there and it is going to be a fun ride. The first two weeks have convinced me about that.
